Cristina Figueroa Villalba, MD

Apheresis Medical Director and Transfusion Service Associate Director
Seattle Children’s

Dr. Figueroa Villalba is the Medical Director of the Apheresis Program and Associate Medical Director of the Transfusion Medicine Service at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She earned her M.D. from Universidad Austral School of Medicine in Argentina, where she also completed Internal Medicine residency. She completed a Clinical Pathology residency and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Figueroa Villalba also conducted a postdoctoral translational research fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital, investigating coagulation and blood management in pediatric patients on ECMO support. She is passionate about advancing patient care, mentoring trainees, and contributing to translational research in transfusion medicine.
