Jay is from Indianapolis, Indiana. She in the QA Coordinator with the Blood Bank at Indiana University Health at Riley Hospital for Children, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital. She attended Georgetown College for her BS in Biology and the University of Kentucky Med Technology Program. Jay received her Master’s in Blood Transfusion Medicine/Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) from the University of Cincinnati/Hoxworth Blood Center. Besides a love for red cell serology and the Transfusion Service, Jay enjoys blood bank teaching lab professionals as Assistant Professor faculty member of the SBB Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch, participates in many AABB committees and AABB Annual Meeting presentations.
