Jerel is a registered nurse with over 12 years of experience and currently serves as the Nurse Manager for the Apheresis Program at UC San Diego Health. He leads one of the largest outpatient apheresis programs in the country, overseeing quality improvement, infection control, safety initiatives, policy development, and regulatory inspections. Jerel is actively involved with the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA), where he contributes through participation in multiple committees and working groups, helping to advance practice standards in the field.
