Dr. Jamal H. Carter, MD, is board-certified in Transfusion Medicine and Clinical Informatics. He is a staff blood bank physician at the Cleveland Clinic’s Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute, where his interests include data extraction and report writing to improve blood bank operations. Dr. Carter received his BS from Florida State University and his MD from the University of Florida. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, followed by fellowships in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Washington University and in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine at the NIH Clinical Center. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University.
