Linda S Barnees has more than 25 years’ experience in executive, quality, and technical leadership positions involving biotherapies; public health research; and health systems strengthening. She is an implementation expert in the field of cellular therapies and blood services, ranging from first-in-class immunotherapies to delivering services in low-resource settings.
Over the course of her career, she has provided technical consultation on blood systems in Africa, Asia, and Caribbean regions. She is active within AABB serveing on Standards Committees (Global Standards, CGT Pharmacy, and Cellular Therapy Services) and on the Global Transfusion Forum with the AABB. She is a board member for Performance Excellence Northwest, the Malcolm Baldrige Regional Quality organization in the Pacific Northwest. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Whitman College, her Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Washington, and her Doctor in Public Health from the University of Illinois—Chicago.
