Dr. Richard Gammon received his medical degree from Drexel University. He completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University and a fellowship in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Dr. Gammon is board-certified in both Clinical Pathology and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. He serves as a faculty member at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine. Actively involved in professional organizations, he is a member of AABB and ISBT and currently serves as the incoming President of the South Central Association of Blood Banks. Dr. Gammon is the Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine and the Blood Bank at Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
