Professor of Health Psychology at the University of Nottingham, a chartered health and occupational psychologist, a Fellow of the Royal peSociety for Public Health, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Distinguished International Affiliate of Division 38 of the American Psychological Society and as associate scientific member of the Biomedical Excellence for Safer Transfusion (BEST) collaboration. He has worked on many project within different blood services but mainly NHSBT over the last 15 years including leading the behavioural science arm of the FAIR projects. He has publsiuhed 279 peer reviewed papers and secures over £15 million of reteach funding. His expertise is in altruism and cooperation as applied to blood and organ donation, with an emphasis on inclusion and diversity within blood donors and patient safety.
