Michelle is a specialist in blood banking with experience in clinical lab work, management, and education. She earned her B.S. in Clinical Science from San Francisco State University and an MBA from Sacramento State, completing specialized training in Clinical Laboratory Science at UC Davis and Blood Banking at the NIH. She has held various roles at Kaiser Permanente, the USAF Academy, the National Institutes of Health and Innovative Blood Resources. For the past five years, she has focused on developing and managing the American Red Cross' Specialist in Blood Banking and Blood Bank Technology Programs. She actively contributes to the field through professional presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and her role as an AABB Assessor. Additionally, she serves on several committees, including the AABB BBTS Standards Committee, AABB eLearning Committee, CAAHEP Co-A of SBBT/TM, and the NIH SBB Program advisory committee.
